Welcome to the first edition of Chiptune Corner! Here I do a quick review of chiptune artists and provide links to check them out!
Anamanaguchi is a chiptune indie rock band from New York. They use an old NES to make music while playing along to it live. They currently have 2 albums and 1 EP out: Dawn Metropolis, Scott Pilgrim versus The World: The Game Soundtrack, and Power Supply. They are currently finishing their latest album, Endless Fantasy, due out later this Spring. Here is the video for the lead single "Meow":
I reconmend checking out their music. With the rock attitude of Weezer and the nostalgia of the Nintendo Entertainment system. Anamanaguchi is a win!
